The quartz movement is a reliable companion in everyday life, a casually elegant model in every situation. It was designed specifically for hard use; during production it had to pass 130 different tests, including being driven over by a 64-ton tank, washed in a washing machine at 90°C for 2 hours, dropped from a height of 10 meters, and taken diving at 200 m depth for hours – and it took all these obstacles in its stride.
